DEFINITIONS

“Online shoppers” refers to customers purchasing products through our online store.

We“, “us“, “our” refers to Roelien de Klerk Jewellery.

You” refers to the customer buying from us online.

General

These terms and conditions apply when you use our website to purchase goods online (“Online Shopping Terms”).

By placing an order through our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

3.1 When registering as an online customer, you will be required to create a profile by selecting a username and password. These credentials are necessary for future purchases and must be kept secure and confidential. Only authorised users may access their profiles. Roelien de Klerk Jewellery will not be held responsible for any losses resulting from unauthorised use of your profile.

4.1 Availability
All products are subject to availability. Should any item become unavailable after you’ve placed an order, we will notify you as soon as possible. Products are only available for delivery within South Africa.

4.2 Pricing
Prices listed are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are valid only within South Africa.

4.3 Product Display
We strive to accurately represent our products, including colours, descriptions, and pricing. Please note that display quality may vary depending on your device settings.

4.4 Order Completion
Ownership of goods is transferred once:Full payment is received, and
The goods have been delivered to or collected by you.
If an error occurs (e.g., incorrect pricing or product information, item unavailability), we reserve the right to cancel your order. You will be refunded the full amount paid. We do not accept liability for losses or claims resulting from such errors.

5.1 Delivery Fees
A delivery fee will be charged per order and will be displayed during checkout. Note that express delivery options are not available for certain outlying areas.

5.2 Delivery Timeline
While we aim to meet the agreed delivery dates, these are subject to change due to factors beyond our control. If delays occur, you will be notified and may choose to cancel your order for a full refund.
Orders requiring ring sizing, engraving, or stone setting may take up to 10 additional business days.

5.3 Stock Availability
We cannot guarantee stock availability but will make every effort to fulfil your order or notify you if items become unavailable. You will receive a full refund for any unavailable items.

5.4 Receiving Your Order
You or an authorised person must be present at the delivery address to accept and sign for the order, and present a valid ID. Anyone accepting the parcel at the delivery address is considered authorised to do so.

5.5 Inspecting Goods
Inspect your items on delivery. Signing the delivery slip confirms that the goods were received in good, undamaged condition.

5.6 Courier Services
We use third-party couriers for deliveries. Roelien de Klerk Jewellery is not responsible for losses or damage caused by courier personnel or their affiliates.

We want you to truly love your jewellery purchase. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, you may return any non-defective item within *7 days* of delivery or collection.

To qualify for a return, please ensure that:

  • The item is unused and in its original packaging and condition.
  • The original invoice or delivery note is provided.

Please Note: For hygiene and customisation reasons, we are unfortunately unable to accept returns on engraved, resized, altered, or pierced jewellery items.

Special Exceptions

We understand that unexpected situations may arise. In exceptional cases, we may consider an exchange after the 7-day return period has passed.

If such an exchange is approved:

  • A 25% administrative fee will apply.
  • The remaining balance will be issued as store credit to your account.
  • This credit may be used at any time towards a future purchase.
  • Please note that no cash refunds or payouts will be made.

1.2 Incorrect Items Delivered

If the incorrect item is delivered or it does not match the website description:
Notify us immediately.

  • We will collect the item free of charge.
  • You may choose a replacement (if available) or request a full refund.

1.3 Courier Returns

When returning non-defective goods via courier, you must complete a return form and use the original packaging. A collection fee will apply unless the goods are faulty or incorrect.

1.4 Refunds

If the return meets all our criteria, we will process a full refund (excluding delivery fees). Refunds will not be issued without proof of purchase. Exchanges may be offered at our sole discretion.

1.5 Defective Items

You may return defective items within 3 months of purchase, provided:

  • They were used as intended.
  • They have not been altered or damaged by misuse.
  • If the item is confirmed to be defective, we will repair, replace, or refund it. If damage is due to water exposure, chemicals, or misuse, we reserve the right to reject the return.

1.6 Damaged Items

Items damaged by misuse, damp, chemicals, or not genuinely defective will not qualify for return or refund.

1.7 Ethical Sourcing

Our diamonds do not fund conflict. We support the Kimberley Process to ensure ethical sourcing.

You may cancel your order before dispatch by using the cancellation function in your order summary. If the goods have already left our distribution centre, the delivery fee will still apply.
If we cancel your order for any reason, no cancellation fees will be charged.

Refunds will only be processed once returned goods are received and inspected by our team.

8.1 We take all reasonable measures to secure your payment information. Our payment system complies with industry standards to ensure safe and secure transactions.

8.2 If you are eligible for a refund, please allow up to 10 working days for it to reflect in your account.

We reserve the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Please review them regularly to stay informed of any changes.
